The Why of Doing

This work began as a personal challenge to myself to create paper arrangements merging the plains of positive and negative space. These would morph into landscapes, buildings, birds as scenes that speak of place. The lines, patterns triggered my memories to cue when the paper arrangement images came to life after photographing. Photography is my immediate gratification voicing a reality that I want to share. I want to help trigger remembering that compliments the fusion of 2-D (photograph) and 3-D (paper sculptures) like our conscious and subconscious co-exist.
